Thanks to a three-game winning streak and a pool of bad teams treading water behind them, the Pistons finally secured a playoff berth Friday night. The next step is to secure a high enough seed that will allow them to avoid Boston and Cleveland in the opening round. Expectations have shrunk since the Pistons reached their high-water mark of 10 games above .500 in early January, but at least their season won't end next week.
